Securitize, a leading tokenization firm backed by BlackRock, is set to debut on the New York Stock Exchange this Thursday after shareholders of Cantor Equity Partners II (CEPT) approved their proposed merger on Monday. The combined company will begin trading under the ticker SECZ, marking one of the first pure-play public offerings in the rapidly growing tokenization sector. The approval clears a major regulatory hurdle, with the transaction expected to close on Wednesday, subject to customary conditions.

Founded in 2017, Securitize has become a key infrastructure provider for tokenizing traditional assets, including funds, bonds, and private credit. The company helps asset managers such as BlackRock, Apollo, KKR, and VanEck issue blockchain-based versions of their investment products. Early investors include BlackRock and ARK Invest, highlighting strong institutional backing.

Shares of CEPT surged as much as 20% during Monday's trading session, reflecting investor optimism ahead of the merger approval. The stock movement front-ran the official announcement, indicating strong market interest in Securitize's public listing. The company raised approximately $48 million from its SPAC deal, according to earlier filings.

The listing comes as tokenization gains significant traction on Wall Street. Citi has projected that tokenized assets could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030, while Standard Chartered estimates the market could grow to $2 trillion by 2028. Major financial institutions are increasingly moving real-world assets onto blockchain rails, driving demand for tokenization infrastructure.

Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo expressed excitement about the milestone, stating that going public will accelerate the adoption of tokenized assets. The company aims to provide investors with a transparent, regulated way to participate in the tokenization ecosystem. Industry experts view the listing as a validation of the sector's long-term potential.

Looking ahead, Securitize plans to expand its platform to support more asset classes and deepen partnerships with traditional financial firms. The public listing will provide capital for growth and enhance credibility with institutional clients. As tokenization continues to evolve, Securitize is well-positioned to be a central player in bridging traditional finance with blockchain technology.

The NYSE debut offers public market investors one of the few pure-play opportunities to gain exposure to the tokenization sector. With regulatory approval secured and strong market interest, Securitize's listing could pave the way for other tokenization firms to go public, further integrating digital assets into mainstream finance.
