Cards Against Humanity is crowdfunding a monument designed to annoy Elon Musk, the company announced on social media. The card game maker plans to build the structure on land it owns near Starbase, Texas, Musk’s SpaceX launch facility. For a $10 donation, supporters can join the “Official Elon Musk is a Sad Little Bitch With No Friends Monument Design Committee.” The campaign’s website, SadLittleBitchWithNoFriends.com, invites participants to help create “something that will annoy Elon Musk” and force a moment of introspection upon “the world’s richest, ugliest little bitch.”
The project stems from a long-running feud between Cards Against Humanity and Musk’s company. In 2017, the company purchased the Texas parcel specifically to disrupt former President Donald Trump’s proposed U.S.-Mexico border wall. Then, in 2024, Cards Against Humanity sued SpaceX for allegedly trespassing on and damaging its property. The latest stunt appears to escalate that dispute with a highly public, participatory provocation.
According to the announcement, the monument is intended to make Musk wonder, “Wait, am I a sad little bitch with no friends?” The company described the effort as a movement of like-minded people working together to design and build the perfect monument. Cards Against Humanity has a history of irreverent stunts, and this one continues that tradition with its signature vulgar humor.
The implications extend beyond a simple prank, as the monument could become a legal or logistical flashpoint near a highly active SpaceX site. It may also amplify public criticism of Musk, who already draws intense scrutiny. By crowdfunding participation, the company turns the project into a shared cultural statement rather than a single corporate act.
Public reactions are likely to be mixed, with some fans eager to contribute and others dismissing the effort as juvenile. The company’s Instagram post frames the committee as a way for ordinary people to participate in a collective gesture. Musk has not yet publicly responded to the campaign.
Looking ahead, the design committee will determine what form the monument takes, with construction to follow. Cards Against Humanity has not provided a timeline or budget beyond the crowdfunding goal. Regardless of whether the monument is ever built, the campaign has already succeeded in drawing attention to the ongoing conflict between the company and the billionaire entrepreneur.
