A new report ranks the top five GPU neocloud providers—CoreWeave, Nebius, Lambda, Crusoe, and Groq—for 2026, highlighting their diverging strategies in the booming AI infrastructure market. The comparison focuses on published pricing, contracted power, and hardware roadmaps, offering crucial insights for enterprise buyers navigating a complex landscape.
CoreWeave, a public company, stands out as the only Platinum-rated GPU cloud in the SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX 2.0 assessment. It commands premium list pricing and reported strong Q2 2026 results, with revenue of $2.575 billion and active power reaching 1.5 GW. The company also completed the industry's first validation of NVIDIA's Vera Rubin NVL72 system.
Nebius Group, also public, is the only provider publishing on-demand pricing for NVIDIA's new B300 GPUs. Its Q2 AI cloud revenue surged 514% year-over-year to $574.9 million. The company has raised its year-end 2026 contracted power target to 5 GW, signaling aggressive expansion.
Lambda and Crusoe are private companies heading toward IPOs. Lambda offers the lowest published on-demand B200 rate at $6.69 per GPU-hour. It recently secured over $1.5 billion in Series E funding and has a major agreement with Microsoft. Crusoe differentiates by offering AMD MI300X and MI355X GPUs, a unique position among the ranked providers.
Crusoe is also building massive data center campuses, including a 1.2 GW site for Oracle and OpenAI's first Stargate project and a separate 900 MW campus for Microsoft. The company's contracted AI infrastructure has reached 4.9 GW across five U.S. campuses, with a development pipeline exceeding 40 GW.
Groq has pivoted its strategy after licensing its LPU technology to NVIDIA in late 2025. The company now refocuses entirely on inference-cloud infrastructure and is set to add NVIDIA GPU capacity as an NVIDIA Cloud Partner, blending its proprietary LPU architecture with mainstream GPU offerings.
The rankings underscore a critical choice for buyers between premium, well-publicized offerings and more cost-effective or specialized alternatives. The massive power commitments, measured in gigawatts, underscore the colossal scale of investment required to compete in the neocloud sector. As companies like Lambda and Crusoe eye public market debuts, the competitive dynamics are poised to intensify further. The future outlook points to continued infrastructure expansion and strategic partnerships defining market leadership.
