US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds have extended their inflow streak to seven consecutive trading days, a significant rebound that has substantially reduced their 2024 year-to-date net outflow deficit. On Tuesday alone, the funds attracted a net $314.37 million, according to data from SoSoValue. This sustained seven-day period has propelled August's total inflows to $3.03 billion.
This performance puts August on track to be the strongest month for these ETFs since October 2025. The rebound has been powerful enough to cut the funds' year-to-date net outflows by more than half, now standing at $2.26 billion. The total net assets managed by these US spot Bitcoin ETFs have reached $99.05 billion.
With four trading sessions remaining in August, the current inflow total is $390 million short of the peak seen in October 2025. The cumulative net inflows since the launch of these spot products have risen to $54.36 billion. These figures illustrate a notable recovery in institutional demand for direct Bitcoin exposure through regulated US markets.
The price of Bitcoin itself has shown corresponding strength, briefly surging past $80,000 on Tuesday. At the time of publication, it traded at $78,880, down 2% over the past 24 hours. This price action reflects the broader market dynamics influenced by the ETF flow data.
However, some indicators suggest a potential cooling of sentiment. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index fell to 65 from 74 a day earlier, although it remains in the "Greed" territory. This decline hints at some short-term caution among market participants despite the robust ETF inflows.
The positive trend is not isolated to Bitcoin. US spot Ether ETFs also extended their inflow streak to seven trading days, adding $179.8 million on Tuesday. Over that same period, these Ethereum-focused funds have attracted approximately $1 billion in net inflows, signaling broader interest in crypto ETFs.
Looking ahead, the market will be watching to see if the strong inflow momentum can be maintained. The approaching end of August and the performance of Bitcoin's price relative to the $80,000 level will be key factors. The continued institutional appetite demonstrated by these flows suggests a potentially stabilizing foundation for the crypto market's institutional segment.
