Japanese public company Remixpoint has fully exited its altcoin holdings, selling all its Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin to consolidate its treasury into Bitcoin alone. The sale, executed on September 1, was disclosed in a public filing and marks a significant strategic shift for the firm.

The company sold the digital assets for a total of ¥878.8 million ($4.47 million). This transaction resulted in a realized gain of ¥117.8 million ($598,400) compared to their recorded book value of ¥761 million ($3.87 million). The gain is expected to be recognized as revenue in the second quarter of its fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.

Breaking down the proceeds, Ethereum generated a profit of ¥60.2 million ($305,900), Solana added ¥49.3 million ($250,500), and XRP produced ¥11.5 million ($58,500). Dogecoin was the sole losing position, recording a ¥3.3 million ($16,500) loss. Prior to the sale, the company also earned ¥29.9 million ($151,800) in combined staking rewards from its Ethereum and Solana holdings.

Remixpoint stated the decision followed a comprehensive review of market conditions, the risk-return profiles of each asset, and its own financial strategy. The move is intended to clarify its cryptocurrency policy and improve capital efficiency by focusing exclusively on Bitcoin. Proceeds from the sale may also be used to strengthen its balance sheet or fund battery-storage projects.

With this shift, Remixpoint now holds 1,501 BTC, valued at approximately $116.1 million, which ranks it 38th among public companies holding Bitcoin. The company also noted it earned nearly 14.92 BTC in fees from Bitcoin lending between February and August.

The sale aligns with a broader trend of public companies accelerating their Bitcoin accumulation. Recent examples include Japan's Metaplanet adding over 5,000 BTC in April, Strategy purchasing 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million in late August, and Strive making two significant BTC purchases totaling nearly 3,000 coins.

This corporate treasury strategy signals a growing institutional preference for Bitcoin as the primary digital asset reserve. Remixpoint's decisive move to eliminate altcoin exposure may influence other firms considering similar portfolio simplifications in the volatile crypto market.
