Supabase has launched a prebuilt connector for Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise, letting teams query and manage Supabase projects in natural language inside the AI platform. Announced September 9, 2026, the integration requires a one-time connection of a Supabase organization. Users can ask questions like "list my tables from Supabase for [project]" for live answers. Gemini Enterprise does not store or index Supabase data; every response is fetched in real time.

Within Gemini Enterprise, the connector works alongside tools including GitHub, Linear, Notion, Slack, and Salesforce. When a prompt touches multiple connected tools, Gemini Enterprise combines the results into a single answer. A user could ask about a feature and get related Supabase tables alongside Jira tickets tracking the work.

The integration extends Supabase access beyond engineering teams. IT and operations staff can check database metrics or inspect table structure without direct dashboard access. Developers can get backend answers without switching contexts. This broadens the platform's usefulness.

The connector spans all Gemini Enterprise editions. In the Business edition, Supabase appears in the connector menu; signing in to an organization completes the connection with no configuration. Standard, Plus, and Frontline admins connect it in the admin console with a client ID and secret. Connections are organization-level, and every exposed tool is annotated read-only or destructive.

The launch came from a partnership with Google Cloud. Rayn Veerubhotla, Google's Managing Director for Partner Technical Architects, said developers increasingly work where conversations happen. Connecting Supabase's MCP Server to Gemini Enterprise grounds the backend in live project data.

The move reflects a broader trend of embedding backend management into AI-powered collaboration platforms. As more teams rely on natural-language interfaces, such integrations could reduce context switching and make database operations more accessible to non-specialists. Supabase is offering new users a free project to begin with the connector.
