U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds attracted $241.1 million last week, posting their third consecutive week of net inflows. Ether ETFs moved in the opposite direction, while Zcash funds suffered their first weekly outflow on record. The split points to selective institutional demand across crypto-linked funds.
SoSoValue data showed cumulative net inflows into U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs reaching $57.8 billion. The latest gain followed $2.4 billion of inflows the prior week and $6.2 million the week before that. Year-to-date net inflows stood at around $1.2 billion.
Ether ETFs recorded $138 million in weekly net outflows after attracting $690 million the week earlier. Their year-to-date net inflows remained about $1.5 billion. The reversal suggests that the strong demand seen in the previous week was not sustained.
Bitcoin traded at about $86,200 at the time of publication, up 3.7% over seven days, according to CoinGecko. Ether traded at roughly $2,727, a 3% gain over the same period. Both assets rose despite the contrasting direction of their ETF flows.
Among other altcoin funds, Zcash ETFs lost around $94 million, while Solana and XRP ETFs extended inflow streaks. Those funds added $2.4 million and $4.7 million, respectively. The figures showed continued concentration in bitcoin rather than an evenly distributed recovery across crypto products.
Crypto sentiment remained positive but softened during the week. Alternative.meâs Crypto Fear & Greed Index held in âGreedâ territory at 70, down from 74. Investors therefore appeared less exuberant even as bitcoin and ether recorded weekly gains.
Whether bitcoinâs three-week inflow streak continues will be a key signal for institutional demand. Etherâs recent reversal and Zcashâs historic outflow could leave bitcoin as the strongest source of fund demand. Future weekly flows will indicate whether the divergence persists or broader participation returns.
