Fairshake, the crypto-backed political action committee, announced support for 32 House candidates ahead of the 2026 US midterm elections. The group said it would initially spend a combined $6 million on six of those candidates. All 32 backed lawmakers voted in favor of the CLARITY market structure bill in 2025.

The PAC counts Coinbase, Ripple Labs and Andreessen Horowitz among its financial backers. On Monday it said it would support 19 Republican and 13 Democratic incumbents in US House races. Fairshake expects to spend more than $100 million on ads supporting House and Senate candidates in 2026.

Three Republicans and three Democrats will each receive $1 million in spending. The Democrats are Oregon Representative Janelle Bynum, California Representative Derek Tran and Nevada Representative Steven Horsford. Their Republican counterparts are Arkansas Representative French Hill, Michigan Representative Bill Huizenga and Wisconsin Representative Bryan Steil.

The PAC also plans to spend at least $30 million in Ohio's Senate race backing Republican Jon Husted over Democrat Sherrod Brown. Fairshake spokesperson Geoff Vetter said the group is issue-focused, backing pro-crypto candidates in both parties. Vetter said in August the PAC had $122 million cash on hand.

The Digital Asset Market Clarity Act was expected to establish clear roles for US financial agencies overseeing digital assets. The legislation failed to pass a crucial Senate vote, leaving the Republican-led bill's future uncertain. Many polls show Democrats favored to take majority control of both the House and Senate in 2027.

Consumer advocacy group Public Citizen reported Fairshake had spent $82 million on ads as of June. That was less than half the $189 million it estimated came from crypto-aligned groups and companies. The failed CLARITY vote could stoke more crypto PAC spending in key races.
