On October 6, according to a report by Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily (η§‘εˆ›ζΏζ—₯ζŠ₯), Amazon Web Services (AWS) integrated Zhipu AI's GLM-5.3 into its large model service platform, Amazon Bedrock, that day. AWS will share revenue with Zhipu based on model call volume, giving Zhipu a new commercialization channel in overseas markets.

This is the latest development in Zhipu's overseas revenue-sharing layout. The report states that in addition to AWS, Zhipu has recently established revenue-sharing models with multiple overseas cloud service providers. Previously, Zhipu revealed plans to add a business path with scale potential through revenue-sharing mechanisms on overseas cloud platforms, converting model capabilities into sustained cash flow.

In the domestic market, Zhipu's revenue-sharing system is also expanding rapidly. The company has signed similar revenue-sharing agreements with leading cloud providers such as Alibaba Cloud's Bailian platform, while Huawei Cloud has already listed GLM-5.3 and reached an intention of intent for similar cooperation. With this, Zhipu has established a revenue-sharing system that spans both domestic and international cloud platforms.

Alongside the acceleration of commercialization, Zhipu's financial performance has also drawn attention. Financial reports show that the company's total operating revenue for the first half of 2026 reached 954 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 399.7%; the net loss attributable to shareholders was 2.071 billion yuan, a year-on-year narrowing of losses by 12.1%. The simultaneous occurrence of high-speed revenue growth and a narrowing of losses demonstrates the staged effectiveness of scale expansion and cost control.

Support from the capital side has been equally substantial. In September of this year, Zhipu announced the completion of approximately 5 billion US dollars in funding, equivalent to about 33.572 billion yuan at the current exchange rate. The round included approximately 2 billion US dollars in share placement and approximately 3 billion US dollars in convertible bond issuance, providing the company with ample ammunition for subsequent R&D and infrastructure investment.

According to the company's disclosure, these funds will primarily be used for the R&D of the next-generation GLM foundation model and the Fully Self Training system, as well as for the deployment and upgrading of large-scale training, production inference, computing power resources, and related technical infrastructure.

From an analytical perspective, the maturation of revenue-sharing systems on both overseas and domestic cloud platforms enables Zhipu to obtain recurring revenue in the model invocation stage; while investments in next-generation GLM models and the self-training system target the iteration of model capabilities themselves. Together, these two threads constitute Zhipu's current commercialization and technical roadmap.
