BSOS has been introduced via a Show HN post as a business communication intelligence API for SaaS developers. It analyzes messages across ten intelligence layers and returns structured output for software. The product aims to help applications understand, prioritize, route, escalate and automate business communication.

A sample incident message shows the API in action. It says a production service has been unavailable for 45 minutes and more than 200 employees cannot process customer orders. BSOS classifies it as an operations service incident with high business impact, customer impact, time sensitivity, high priority and a recommended escalation to operations.

Unlike tools that return a single score, BSOS exposes distinct intelligence layers. These include signals, understanding, context, classification, business facts, business impact, attention, priority, action and explainability. The company says products can contract and consume each layer independently.

The API is positioned for multiple SaaS use cases. It can prioritize tickets, detect incidents and surface escalation requirements. It can also detect opportunities, objections, commercial intent, commitments, dissatisfaction, churn risk, invoices, approvals, payment issues and vendor requirements.

BSOS is designed as an intelligence layer for software that already handles business messages. It does not aim to replace existing communication platforms. Instead, it lets products integrate structured BSOS output into their own routing, escalation and automation workflows.

Onboarding follows a defined path. Companies describe their company and use case, and BSOS reviews platform and integration fit. They then create an organization owner account, add technical and product teammates, choose processing capacity and create Sandbox or Production API access.

After validating the integration, customers can begin processing. BSOS recommends starting with the Sandbox and selecting the intelligence capabilities the product needs. The service is available now, though the announcement did not disclose pricing or specific launch partners.
