IT Home, October 11 news, according to Yiche, GAC Aion Ray7 will officially begin pre-sales on October 17. The new car is built on the AEP pure electric platform, and the entire lineup adopts a rear-mounted single-motor layout. The car is equipped with Huawei Drive ONE multi-in-one electric drive and CATL battery, becoming the first model in GAC Aion's all-new Ray series to enter the pre-sales stage.
"Ray" is an all-new car series officially announced by GAC Aion in July this year. The first model, "Ray 7", is positioned as a "super pure electric sedan loved by young people." Its dimensions are 4960Γ1900Γ1455mm, and its wheelbase is 2920mm. This size and positioning indicate that it targets young consumer groups with requirements for both space and pure electric performance.
In terms of the intelligent cockpit, GAC Aion Ray 7 is equipped with a 5nm Qualcomm 8295 processor, 24GB LPDDR5 high-bandwidth memory, and new-generation 128GB UFS5.0 flash memory. The vehicle features a floating soft-light center console and adopts a three-layer silver-plated sun-protection panoramic roof. The roof is claimed to support "88% solar energy rejection and 99.99% UV rejection rate."
In the fields of vehicle control and braking, GAC Aion Ray 7 achieves comprehensive electrification of vehicle control. The car is the world's first to feature a chip-level drive-brake fusion architecture, and the world's first to be equipped with Huawei EMB full-wire brake-by-wire. At the same time, the vehicle is equipped with the Huawei iTRACK intelligent torque control system to enhance dynamic control capability.
In terms of chassis, GAC Aion Ray 7 adopts an aluminum hybrid front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension, supplemented by front and rear stabilizer bars. The car is also equipped with FSD variable damping suspension and an HRS hydraulic rebound stopper. These configurations together constitute its chassis and suspension system solution.
In terms of thermal management and battery, GAC Aion Ray 7 has an all-new thermal management system and a 28-in-1 thermal management module. The vehicle is equipped with a new-generation Huawei DriveONE multi-in-one electric drive, has a CATL full-pack battery built in, and adopts the Magazine Battery 2.0 solution. Previous information shows that the entire lineup has a rear-mounted single motor, forming a matching setup with the Huawei electric drive and CATL battery.
At the intelligent driving level, GAC Aion Ray 7 has a WeRide L4-level same-origin large-model algorithm. The car is equipped with 27 automotive-grade full-view sensors, including a 192-line LiDAR and 3 4D millimeter-wave radars. The vehicle supports functions such as navigation-free roaming to find parking spaces.
According to existing information, GAC Aion Ray7 will begin pre-sales on October 17. As the pre-sales milestone approaches, this new car, based on the AEP pure electric platform and integrating supply chain solutions from Huawei, CATL, and others, will enter the market testing stage. Its specific price, configuration versions, and delivery arrangements still await further official announcement.
