US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) returned to net outflows on Wednesday as Bitcoin fell below $82,000. The funds recorded about $262 million in withdrawals, reversing $176 million in inflows a day earlier, according to SoSoValue. Through Wednesday, weekly net outflows reached $151 million, following $681 million the previous week.
The renewed selling pressure coincided with a broader Bitcoin decline after Wednesdayâs US inflation report. Bitcoin traded at about $80,741, down 3.2% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. The drop underscored how macroeconomic data drives short-term crypto sentiment.
Ether ETFs also faced redemptions, shedding around $130 million on Wednesday. That brought weekly outflows to $190 million, after $542 million last week and $138 million the week before. The consecutive negative weeks suggest persistent caution toward ETH-linked products.
Solana ETFs recorded $1.3 million in outflows on Wednesday, extending their outflow streak to eight sessions. The funds have lost $3 million this week. Zcash ETFs attracted $3.7 million on Wednesday but remained negative for the week, with $3.2 million in outflows.
XRP ETFs bucked the trend, attracting about $740,000 on Wednesday. They remained the only category among the five tracked by SoSoValue to post positive net flows this week. That divergence highlights selective investor interest amid broad ETF contraction.
The latest flows show digital-asset investors reducing exposure amid Bitcoinâs slide and inflation concerns. The withdrawals reflect a market sensitive to US monetary policy signals. ETF demand appears fragile across most major tokens.
Crypto ETF flows are likely to stay tied to Bitcoinâs price and inflation data. A recovery above $82,000 could stabilize inflows, while further declines may deepen redemptions. XRP funds may remain a rare bright spot if investors seek alternatives.
