Ayafy, a free AI-powered Quran learning and memorization app, has launched for iOS and Android. It listens as users recite, catches mistakes word by word in real time, and plans revision with goals, reminders, and streaks. The app targets both beginners and long-term hifz students.
Quran memorization, known as hifz, traditionally requires a teacher's supervision. Ayafy aims to provide self-paced feedback using AI. It is available free on the App Store and Google Play.
The app tracks recitation live, showing correct, wrong, and skipped words, plus ayahs covered and session time. Users can set goals by surah, juz, or daily ayah target. For example, Juz 30 before Ramadan requires 8 ayahs daily.
Revision tools generate automatically or from custom surah, juz, or page ranges. Progress is tracked across 114 surahs, 30 juz, and 604 pages. The app marks parts as recent, due, aging, or overdue.
Additional features include translations, tafsir, and transliteration in multiple languages, available offline. Recitations by Mishary Rashid Alafasy can be streamed, downloaded, looped, or slowed. The Madani Mushaf appears in 15-line layouts across all 604 pages.
The app's search works by recitation or text in English or Arabic. Daily or one-time reminders can be labeled and customized. Ayafy is free with no locked features, according to its description.
Future updates are expected to add more reciters and languages. Ayafy reflects growing use of AI in religious education, offering self-paced feedback while traditional hifz still relies on teachers. Its creators cite Al-Qamar 54:17: "And We have certainly made the Quran easy for remembrance."
