At the 2026 World Physical AI Conference and Unitree Partner Ecosystem Conference, Wang Xingxing, founder of Unitree Robotics, disclosed that since its release in May 2024, the Unitree G1 robot has cumulatively rolled off the production line at about 10,000 to 20,000 units, making it the world's best-selling humanoid robot. The news drew attention after being reported by STAR Market Daily on October 22. The theme of the conference was Advance with Unitree, Grow Together with the Industry (Yu Shi Ju Jin, Shu Ye Gong Sheng).
Public information shows that the G1 was officially released on May 13, 2024, with an official positioning as a humanoid intelligent agent and AI avatar. It is priced starting at 99,000 yuan and is divided into the baseline G1 configuration and the optionally configured G1 EDU version. The robot is about 127 centimeters tall and weighs about 35 kilograms. It has 23 to 43 joint motors, with a maximum joint torque of 120 N·m. It supports imitation learning and reinforcement learning-driven operation, is equipped with UnifoLM (the Unitree Unified Robot Large Model), and features 3D LiDAR and a depth camera, with a battery life of about 2 hours.
The scale of this conference also attracted outside attention. The conference included more than 3,000 guests, a main forum area of more than 4,000 square meters, and more than 40 exhibition zones. Wang Xingxing currently serves as chairman, general manager, and chief technology officer of Unitree Robotics. Unitree Robotics officially completed its IPO and listing on the STAR Market on August 19, 2026.
The capital market reacted noticeably to the conference news. On October 19, 2026, Unitree Robotics' share price rose more than 17% intraday, at one point exceeding 500 yuan per share. As of the close that day, the company's total market capitalization returned to 200 billion yuan, with the stock at 495.92 yuan per share.
The G1 mass-production figures disclosed by Wang Xingxing have made the product's commercialization progress a focal point for the humanoid robot industry. Since its release, the G1 has cumulatively rolled off the production line at about 10,000 to 20,000 units and has been described as the world's best-selling humanoid robot. This scale echoes its starting price of 99,000 yuan, its product configuration, and the displays at the ecosystem conference.
From release to mass-production rollout, the G1 timeline spans May 2024 to October 2026. After Unitree Robotics' listing on the STAR Market, its product progress and capital market performance have continued to attract attention. The subsequent production and rollout scale of the G1, the implementation of ecosystem cooperation, and the company's operating conditions remain to be further disclosed.
