US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted about $301 million in net inflows last week, ending a two-week outflow streak. The reversal came after the funds lost roughly $228 million the prior week and $680 million the week before. October’s net outflows still totaled about $314 million, according to Farside Investors data. The result marked a sharp but uneven recovery for the category.

The week began strongly. Bitcoin ETFs drew $1.08 billion between Monday and Wednesday. Bitcoin climbed to a weekly high of $84,777 on Wednesday, according to CoinGecko. That momentum faded as investors withdrew about $774 million on Thursday and Friday.

Bitcoin retreated toward $80,000 during the late-week selloff. At publication time, it traded at $80,025, down about 3.3% over seven days. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index fell to a “Neutral” reading of 50 from “Greed” at 59 a week earlier.

The pattern fits research published Thursday by market maker DWF Labs. The firm found net outflows during seven of eight Bitcoin sell-offs of at least 15% since US spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in January 2024. “ETF investors aren’t the dip buyers people think they are,” DWF said. The finding challenges expectations that ETF holders would consistently buy declines.

The implications extend beyond Bitcoin. US spot Ether ETFs recorded a fourth consecutive week of net outflows, shedding about $221 million last week, according to Farside Investors. That weakness suggests broad caution toward crypto ETF products rather than a Bitcoin-only shift.

The comeback shows ETF flows remain sensitive to short-term price swings. It also leaves October’s overall outflow figure negative despite the late-month rebound. Investors will likely watch whether Bitcoin can hold above $80,000 and whether ETF demand stabilizes in the coming week.
