Karta AI, a Bengaluru-based voice AI platform for banking, financial services and insurance, has raised $3 million in seed funding. PeerCapital and Cedar Hill Capital led the round. Wyser VC, CDM Capital and Seedstars also participated. The company said the capital will support product development and market expansion.
Founded in 2024 by Vijaypal Singh and Abhishek Kushwaha, Karta AI builds voice agents that handle inbound calls for banks, lenders, fintechs and insurers. The platform connects with enterprise systems to resolve queries and complete workflows without human involvement unless escalation is required. A predictive context engine learns from past human and AI interactions. This lets the startup manage multiple customer intents in one conversation.
Karta AI said it manages around 2 million conversations each month across more than 25 languages. Its servicing agent resolves about 70% of borrower queries end to end. Those queries include disbursal status and account statements. The figures show significant existing scale.
The funding will strengthen end-to-end automation and multilingual capabilities. It will also expand deployments with financial institutions. Karta AI plans to grow its engineering and go-to-market teams. The startup intends to build reusable industry-specific capabilities and expand internationally.
The deal reflects rising investor interest in India’s agentic voice AI sector. Recent rounds have funded Desible.ai, Navana.ai and Rezolv. Those deals point to growing confidence in AI systems that can execute tasks, not just answer questions. Financial services remain a key testing ground because of high call volumes and compliance needs.
Karta AI now aims to deepen its work with financial institutions and enter new markets. The company will use the seed round to scale its voice AI agents and multilingual support. Its progress will be watched as India’s agentic voice AI competition intensifies. The startup’s international expansion will test demand for multilingual voice AI.
