Apple Intelligence China Edition Officially Announced: Integrates Alibaba Qwen, Testing Opens November 4
On October 31, 2026, Apple Inc. issued an announcement stating that the first batch of core Apple Intelligence features will open for testing in China on November 4 with the iOS developer beta, and will be officially rolled out in December with iOS 27.3. The first batch of features targets users of Chinese iPhone 18 Pro and other models. Apple also confirmed that it has reached a cooperation with Alibaba to integrate the Qwen large model into its ecosystem. On the same day, Huawei confirmed for the first time in an official specifications document that the Mate 60 Pro is equipped with the Kirin 9000S processor. The two pieces of news together became the most closely watched focus of the tech industry that day.
According to information released by Apple, Alibaba Qwen integrated into the Apple ecosystem will serve scenarios such as Siri, Writing Tools, and Visual Intelligence, and can help users draft copy, read documents, and recognize images. This is also Apple Intelligence’s first implementation in the Chinese market, and both the testing cadence and the official rollout timing have been made clear.
Huawei’s “reveal” appeared in a post introducing Mate 90 series promotional activities. Huawei laid out the core configurations of the Mate 30, Mate 40, Mate 50, and Mate 60 Pro together and compared them with the Mate 90 Pro; in the performance section, the official specifications document explicitly stated for the first time that the Mate 60 Pro’s processor model is the Kirin 9000S.
News also came from the gaming sector. The domestic 3A title Phantom Blade Zero officially launched on multiple platforms, with a development cost of RMB 300 million to RMB 400 million. Its PC version reached a Metacritic score of 88, surpassing Black Myth: Wukong’s 81; its first-day Steam peak concurrent players reached 720,000, demonstrating the R&D capability and market appeal of domestic high-quality games.
On the industry chain side, Sunwoda disclosed that a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiaomi plans to invest RMB 1.7 billion to increase capital in Sunwoda Power, subscribing to RMB 897.805204 million of newly added registered capital, corresponding to a 5.34% stake after the capital increase is completed. Separately, according to The Information, DeepSeek completed a second round of RMB 105.5 billion in financing, with a valuation reaching RMB 615.5 billion. Nearly 30 institutions participated, including Tencent, CATL, ChangXin Memory Technologies, SMIC, Meituan, and vivo, and the company is advancing its plan for a STAR Market listing.
Price fluctuations in the hardware market drew attention. According to Akiba PC’s survey of Japan’s Akihabara market from October 17 to 24, DDR5 memory prices continued to climb, and some high-end large-capacity kits have approached “sky-high” prices; 128GB DDR5 kits surpassed 500,000 yen, a one-year increase of 760%. Horizon Robotics founder Yu Kai publicly criticized the problem of inflated PPT compute specs for smart-driving chips, saying that Nvidia specifies at twice the dense compute while the industry has inflated it to 6 to 7 times, and that Horizon will label both NV compute and equivalent compute simultaneously.
In addition, Huawei HarmonyOS 7 pushed a Calendar App version 17.0.10.350 upgrade, implementing the “3D Dynamic Calendar” feature; the Huawei Enjoy 100 Pro Max became the first model in the Enjoy series to support NearLink E2.0 audio. From AI implementation and chip disclosures to capital and supply chain, the tech industry on October 31 showed a trend of multiple mainlines advancing in parallel.
