Jackery has unveiled the Explorer 100D, its smallest portable power station to date, built with lithium iron phosphate batteries. The unit measures just 4.6 by 3.4 by 3.4 inches and weighs 1.87 pounds. It packs 96Wh, or 30,000mAh, of capacity. That combination lets users slip it into a carry-on and power multiple devices during a long flight.
The Explorer 100D will be available starting November 15th through Walmart for $99. Costco already offers the device in a two-pack for $179.99. Jackery says the LFP cells are engineered for up to eight years of regular use and a 3,000 charge-cycle lifespan. That should help it outlast competing products using more common lithium-ion cells.
Although the 100D is much smaller and lighter than Jackery’s other power stations, the company still includes an integrated handle and offers an optional shoulder strap. On the front, there are two 140W USB-C ports and one 18W USB-A port. The 100D maxes out at 158W of total output, so power delivery across the ports is reduced when all three are in use.
For charging away from an outlet, the 100D supports up to 100W of direct solar input. Jackery says that input can refill the battery to 80 percent capacity in about an hour and a half. This makes the device suited to travel, outdoor activities, and emergency backup.
Jackery first introduced LFP batteries in 2023, and the 100D extends that chemistry to a palm-sized category. Smaller and cheaper 30,000mAh portable chargers exist, but the LFP cells are the key differentiator. The $99 price and retail availability through Walmart and Costco broaden the product’s reach.
The launch reflects growing demand for compact, durable power sources that can travel easily. It also shows LFP adoption moving beyond larger home and outdoor power stations. Real-world performance and long-term durability will determine whether the 100D stands out in a crowded portable charging market.
