On August 21, Alibaba Cloud announced that its Model-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform has further expanded its model service matrix, officially integrating Zhipu AI's GLM-5.3 and DeepSeek-V4-Pro into the Qianwen AI platform and simultaneously launching the corresponding API services for developer use. This move enriches Alibaba Cloud's service offerings in the field of generative AI, aiming to provide developers with more comprehensive model options.

The two newly added flagship models have been enhanced for specific application scenarios. GLM-5.3, as Zhipu AI's latest flagship large model, focuses on improving capabilities in programming, long-task processing, and network security. Meanwhile, DeepSeek-V4-Pro has been significantly enhanced in its performance for intelligent agents, making it suitable for scenarios requiring autonomous decision-making and execution, such as code development and complex task processing.

To date, the Qianwen AI platform has aggregated several popular domestic mainstay models. In addition to the newly integrated GLM-5.3 and DeepSeek-V4-Pro, the platform also includes Alibaba's self-developed next-generation foundational large model Qwen3.8-Max, the open-source model Qwen3.8, the voice model Qwen-Audio 3.0, the image generation model Qwen-image 3.0 Pro, the video generation model Wan3.0, as well as other third-party models like Kimi K3. The platform covers multiple modalities, including text, code, voice, image, and video generation.

Developers can now choose from this rich model matrix based on specific task requirements. Through standardized API interfaces, developers can conveniently integrate the capabilities of corresponding models into their applications and business systems, enabling rapid construction or enhancement of AI application functionality.

Some popular models have been included in Alibaba Cloud's Token Plan subscription service. Currently, DeepSeek-V4-Pro, Qwen3.8-Max, and Qwen-Audio series models are available for subscription. After subscribing to a package, users can flexibly switch between different models in Alibaba Cloud's AI development tools such as Qoder and Codex as needed, optimizing the balance between cost and performance.

Alibaba Cloud's expansion of its model matrix reflects the ongoing competition among major domestic cloud service providers in the AI infrastructure layer. By introducing leading external general-purpose large models and integrating self-developed models, Alibaba Cloud aims to build a more open and diversified AI development platform to attract developers and consolidate its market position. This has positive implications for promoting the practical application of AI technology across various industries.

Looking ahead, as technologies like multimodality and long-context continue to evolve, model services on cloud platforms are expected to develop towards greater specialization and collaboration. Developers will be able to more easily combine and invoke the capabilities of different models to address increasingly complex intelligent application needs. The model ecosystem development by platforms like Alibaba Cloud will become one of the key factors influencing the pace of AI application innovation in China and globally.
