On September 7, Nubia announced that the world's first AI agent phone, the NaviX Ultra, has opened reservations on JD.com, and the new product will debut next Wednesday (September 16). The device was jointly developed by ZTE and ByteDance, and comes with the Doubao mobile assistant, being called the "second-generation Doubao phone."
It is reported that the NaviX Ultra has adjusted its cooperation model with super apps such as Alibaba and Tencent. It will not read the screen after user authorization, nor will it simulate clicks or operate apps like a human (i.e., GUI technology). This design choice differs from the common app operation methods seen in previous AI phones.
In terms of hardware, the phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 flagship processor, feature a 7000mAh silicon-carbon anode battery, and support 90W/100W wired fast charging and wireless charging. The camera system is expected to include a 50MP main camera, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a periscope telephoto lens, along with a 50MP front-facing high-definition camera.
In terms of memory, on September 4, Nubia and ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) jointly announced that the NaviX Ultra will feature LPDDR5X memory from CXMT with a speed of 10667Mbps. CXMT officially emphasized that this is the first mass-production application of a domestically produced 10667Mbps high-speed LPDDR5X chip, marking that domestic mobile DRAM has officially entered the commercial stage of top-tier speeds.
This cooperation is of landmark significance to the domestic storage industry. As the first phone to feature this memory, the NaviX Ultra serves as an important case of domestically produced high-speed storage chips being implemented in flagship devices. At the same time, the phone's AI agent positioning also reflects a new trend of deep cooperation between phone manufacturers and AI large-model companies.
With reservations now open, the NaviX Ultra will officially debut next Wednesday, and its actual performance, AI features, and pricing strategy will be revealed. The industry is widely watching whether this "world's first AI agent phone" can carve out new growth space in the highly competitive smartphone market.
