US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a massive surge in investor interest on Monday, attracting nearly $1 billion in net inflows. This figure marks the largest daily inflow of 2026 and the strongest since early October 2025. The influx of capital coincided with a significant price rally for Bitcoin itself.
According to data from SoSoValue, the funds pulled in $998.9 million on Monday. This surpassed the previous 2026 high of $844 million set on January 14. It represents the most substantial daily inflow since October 6, 2025, when the ETFs brought in over $1.2 billion.
The day's inflows were led by BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which captured $381 million. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) followed with $289 million, and Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) secured approximately $239 million. This activity propelled Bitcoin's price, which traded around $85,430 and briefly topped $87,200 on Monday.
The price movement has drawn attention from market analysts. CryptoQuant's Julio Moreno stated that Bitcoin has moved above its 365-day moving average. He described this technical event as the final confirmation signal needed for a new bull market. Bitcoin is up 4.7% over the past 24 hours and 12.3% over the last month.
Despite Monday's record-breaking day, the broader context shows some net outflows for the year. US spot Bitcoin ETFs have posted approximately $464 million in net outflows so far in 2026. The renewed inflows, however, suggest a potential shift in sentiment.
The positive momentum extended to other cryptocurrency ETFs. US spot Ether ETFs attracted around $270 million on Monday, their largest daily inflow of 2026. Meanwhile, US spot XRP ETFs saw no net flows, leaving their cumulative net inflows at about $1.71 billion.
The convergence of record ETF inflows and key technical price movements is being viewed by some as a pivotal moment. It underscores the growing institutional and retail appetite for regulated crypto exposure. The market will now watch to see if this influx of capital can sustain Bitcoin's upward trajectory and solidify the bull market thesis.
Looking ahead, the performance of these spot ETFs will remain a critical barometer for crypto market health. Monday's data provides a strong signal of renewed demand. Investors will be closely monitoring Bitcoin's price action and future ETF flow data for confirmation of a sustained uptrend.
