US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds suffered $635 million in net outflows on Thursday, ending a three-day inflow streak and pushing October back into negative territory. The withdrawals more than erased Wednesday’s $528 million of inflows, according to SoSoValue data. October now shows $175 million in net outflows.

The reversal marked the largest single-day net outflow since June 25, when Bitcoin ETFs lost $696 million. It interrupted a three-day run that had attracted $1.08 billion. Despite Thursday’s bleed, the funds still posted $443 million in weekly net inflows after two consecutive weeks of outflows.

Bitcoin traded between $80,996 and $82,551 on Thursday, down from Wednesday’s intraday high of $84,777. BTC was around $81,783 at publication time, down about 1% over 24 hours, according to CoinGecko. The price action underscored how ETF flows and spot markets remain closely linked.

Altcoin ETFs mostly mirrored the negative tone. Ether ETFs recorded about $111 million in net outflows, followed by Solana ETFs at roughly $9 million and Hyperliquid ETFs at about $8 million. XRP ETFs bucked the trend with around $3.6 million in inflows.

The outflows matter because US spot Bitcoin ETFs have become a major channel for institutional exposure. A single $635 million withdrawal can quickly shift sentiment and liquidity. It also shows how fragile recent inflow momentum has been.

Market observers will watch whether the weekly inflow total holds or whether Thursday’s selling extends into Friday. The prior two weeks of outflows suggest demand remains uneven. Crypto stocks also faced pressure as broader markets reacted to Trump’s Iran comments.

For now, Bitcoin ETFs remain volatile rather than consistently negative. The $443 million weekly gain offers some cushion, but October’s $175 million net outflow shows how fast flows can reverse. Future demand will likely depend on price stability and macroeconomic signals.
